    Road flare for woodchucks?

Whistle pig! They’re cute and other than their burrows do no harm. We’ve a bunch of them about. Some burrows under the corn crib that’s older than I and it’s still plumb. Growing up in Indiana my dad and I used to walk railroad grades and pick them off - mostly just a walking and target...

Where's your go-to place to fly?

….I think aircraft carriers can tack into the wind, it’s the sporty crosswinds at KCDK that’ll get ya.

    The road

I deal with this on my 1/2 mile driveway constantly. The solution is a BOX Grader set up in such a way that: 1) offset just to the right of the right hand rear tractor tire, B) angled horizontally SLIGHTLY lower on right, and III) angled rearward a bit on the left. That way when you CAREFULLY...

    Dehydration

As a Nephrologist (retired) I can assure you you’re not becoming “dehydrated” after a few hours of no fluid intake unless you’re sweating profusely. Insensible fluid losses have been rigorously studied at altitude and really don’t increase either...

More than thinking-about Cat-swapping the Disco

All personal opinion here: Man, why mess with a Disco 1? - the sweet spot for LR overlanding before the onset of superfluous electronics and their resultant failures (the three amigos mean anything to you?), and bag suspension (not if but when mean anything to you?) Want a diesel? - drop in a...

    Stress test

Don’t even think about “running”...a brisk walk is all that is necessary to reach target heart rate.

Does anyone ever cap their fuel vent outlet?

I put a flagged (red Mylar tape) doubled up pipe cleaner in mine. If I ever forget to remove them, enough air can get by to vent the tanks. I’ve seen some people use RainBird irrigation system “dog n cat” filters and leave them in place.

Low wing plane with light rudder pedels

...for a grand total of four, two each reachable from one position. Not an issue....rather do that than climb a ladder or a strut to fuel ..I know you understand that but the OP probably doesn’t.

    Water leaks at home.

Copper pipe, no doubt.....only a matter of time.....some locales worse than others depending upon the “aggressiveness” (per my plumbers) of the water. Jackhammered through our slab twice before biting the bullet and bringing PVC above grade.....PITA.
