    Cross Country Lap Box

Where’s the metal Landing Calculator? (OP - don’t fret, this is a joke from the halcyon days of POA. Anyone remember?)

    Camp chairs

If you’re tent camping and have Thermarest pad(s), they make a Trekker device that converts a folded up camping pad into an actually quite comfy chair. It does sit directly on the ground but supports your back and pads your butt. Mine have held up to years of use.

New utility trailer - some feedback please

On this thread stumbled across another T-dub! Seems they’re (their, there?) everywhere these days, except on dealers’ floors and used sites (sights?) for reasonable prices…..been seeking one for months now. Having fun with yours (your’s?) ?

brainstorming request: how to support a wire fence

Three 10ft cattle/stock panels. ….and yes Invisible Fencing need not be buried, or even on the ground. Part of our loop is 2ft off ground strung along three strand barbed….. but it does require a LOOP - ? run along sides and back of hangar to accomplish this.

    Not Aviation - Amazon rant

Some people here report returning items to Amazon for various reasons, some people here complain of receiving items from Amazon that are not NIB. Hmmmm. Sounds like a national trend of utilizing a liberal return policy, then complaining about it.

    Taking your dog flying

Fly with my two boys. Use hearing protection by 4Paws Aviation (seem higher quality than Mutt Muffs)…..sometimes they leave them on. They both get their heads and front quarters into the baggage door on the Tiger and then I boost them up - tight fit through the door, but the rear area with back...

    Hancock/Bar Harbor (KBHB) Suggestions?

If avoiding crowds is on your list of things to do, visit the Schoodic Peninsula part of Acadia NP - just as beautiful and much less crowded. The FBO at KBHB is not fancy but quite helpful. Strongly recommend renting a car if you’re planning to be in the area more than a day. The town of Bar...

Thinking about a dual sport/adventure Motorcycle

…,can I get an Amen?! If you cannot lift it when down, you shouldn’t be riding it off road. I’ve done the R1150gs/KLR650/R100GS things and I’m still looking for a T-dub. There is a reason that they’re hard to come by.

Thinking about a dual sport/adventure Motorcycle

So…suggest taking a motorbike that was/is originally a dual sport (KLX) that was modified to become a motard (KLX-SM) and modifying it back into a dual sport by changing tires?

Thinking about a dual sport/adventure Motorcycle

Please, before you decide, do listen to the TW200 Podcast that I recommended…..a lot to recommend it for what you’re asking. A strong community of support and aftermarket mods. People here are offering much SILLIER suggestions here of late.

Thinking about a dual sport/adventure Motorcycle

Yamaha TW200’s have a cult following. Low power, wide tires, bulletproof, lightweight. Some think they look kind of silly. Made since 1987! I’ve gotten to the age where low (weight) and slow appeals more and more to me. Got away from my Beemer R1150GS a number of years ago after it kept getting...

Talk me out of a Debonair

You WILL miss your Grumman. Need more payload?….get a Tiger. Your kids will soon be at the age at which going on airplane rides/trips with the ‘rents will lose the appeal.
