Disastrous First (and Last) Annual - Advice Needed

Another thought, where to get replacements, most of the PA- series parts with part numbers and require paper work, and do the 337 field approval process, and wait for the FAA. Buying a salvaged fuselage, change the data plate? ( accordance with FAR 45) and no fuss with a 337.

    Plane down in Western Washington

I hate guessing about things like this. the FAA has not give numbers yet, no one is reporting anyone missing. So,, we wait. Puget Sound is a bad place to down, water temp is 43 degrees today, that gives us about 15 minutes survival time.

O-200- to filter, or not to filter?

There is no AD on the 0-200 oil filter they don't incorporate a crush gasket. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/eppages/fmengadapter.php The early versions do not incorporate that phrase the screen can be retained.

Disastrous First (and Last) Annual - Advice Needed

One question,, how much corrosion makes an aircraft un-airworthy.? my point is not how much money is involved, but is the A&P-IA approving aircraft that are not safe to fly,, My Opinion the FSDO should investigate.

Disastrous First (and Last) Annual - Advice Needed
