5 minutes, about 2 miles by road. I'm only maybe 1/4 mile from the airport property in a straight line, but its a little longer drive due to dead end roads and the entrance gate being on the west side of the airport but I live to the east.

I took the written after doing maybe 15 hours with an instructor. I almost wish I would have waited longer, I got the written done and was thinking "Great, now I won't need to remember that exact answer for that question!" and started reading the ASA oral exam guide. Looks to be the same...

172 when I was 5 or 6 years old, it was a short trip around the pattern at a local airshow with my dad and brother. The more interesting part about that flight I just found out a few weeks ago, the pilot who was flying that plane is my instrument instructor.
