Throwing Shade on the Beech Musketeer?

Any CFI's/pilots with B-23 experience have any comments about the bad rap they have for landings? I'm kicking tires on one (160/hp) and found this article. ----------------- These airplanes have developed a reputation for providing some ego-crushing landings for even experienced pilots. Student...

Yesterday's PAWS flight. Over to Tunica p/u drop in Springfield TN. I like how the MEM approach controllers work VFR. Climb 5500' heading 360 then resume own. I pounded the little 140 at Vx just on the inside of the active base leg into MEM.

Afraid to maintain an old plane

It is a sellers market. I have a 3840TT 67 Cherokee with 1800SMOH in 1972. Yep. Topped off 400hrs ago. No metal, compressions to beat the band... 1qt per 11 hour oil burn. Single Nav/Com with ADSB out. I had 2 offers in one day for 24K. I slipped at the gas pumps and said I might be putting it...

    Holiday Depression

Everything is upside down. My flying has been greatly reduced. Flying around the cotton patch is starting be feel like a chore. Thank goodness I still fly PAWS flights but with winter coming, those are numbered. I hear the OP, Jan will be here soon enough

Taking my Mentor (Dad) For a Flight Today

I know this thread is 3 years old now but I wanted to post closure. The last 3 years were challenging for who I consider to be the best Pitch & Power - Stick & Rudder pilot I've ever flown with. Now no more. My dad flew his final departure Friday (I bet it was in the C-45 or the C-310 he loved)...
