That's funny how the wings are different. Our wing is looking to create a mission for flying Corona test kits around the state if needed. Our meetings have also been cancelled, but any proficiency flying and one-on-one flight instruction is still allowed.

I feel like the pilot started it. The controller got snippy with his "rogers", but, only after the pilot started getting snippy and telling the controller to "get me out of here". With few and scattered clouds, the pilot should be able to fly his airplane just fine.

Looks like others above me covered what you’d need to cross. And yeah if you need a car anyways, then I guess it’s less of a disadvantage to drive.

Why not just fly to Toronto? What you save on fees, you might easily make up in lost time, rental costs, gas etc

Yes. There is the potential for questions about helicopters or other flying creatures, but if you pass the FII with flying colors, you’ll do just fine. As an example, I got 1% less on my AGI than FIA because of a helicopter question I just guessed at.

If CFII is your initial instructor rating you’ll need FII AND FOI. IGI is basically the same question bank and allows you to get your ground instructor license.

Or depending on what kind of flying you do, go the other way when you mix commercial/private flying. Buy the Bose QC35 and a UFlyMike.
