Agreed. I get more CAP flying than I have time for, and even starting in late 2019 (some pandemic thing hit us shortly after), I have logged over 300 hours in CAP planes as either pilot or instructor.

Well technically anything not specifically required for training purposes counts. That being said, I’m not sure a future employer would be impressed with 13-1400 hours of safety pilot time.

By doing safety pilot work, two people can get almost 100 hrs PIC each for flying 100 hrs. The safety pilot loses a few decimals per flight when the flying pilot is not hooded.

Agreed. Or if want to hail an Uber, don’t forget about SGS just down the road. Generally cheapest gas and fees in the area, but no nearby public transportation like STP has.

Only the person flying logs XC and landings. The safety pilot logs PIC and total time only. And the safety pilot will log at least 0.2-0.3 less than the flying pilot as only time under the hood can be logged by the safety pilot.

Exactly. The banks/credit companies have little interest in cooperating with an investigation because it is more of a hassle for them than to just refund the customer. The customer is no longer out any money, so they're generally happy.

Porch pirates have it shipped to your address. Pick it up before you notice the package waiting at your door. That way when you dispute the charge, the compay might just say you shipped it to your own address and trying to pull a fast one.
