My plane is cheating on me again

I have ADS-B out now, so every flight is tracked in detail with my N-number. Evidently, I landed after an hour's flight from Reno.

My plane is cheating on me again

A few years I got a phone call "FROM THE FAA" asking me if my plane was flying in Arkansas. I didn't verify the vice on the phone but I told him unless I heard otherwise my plane was dusty, parked in the hangar. He said OK, ATC can fat-finger the N number. I guess it just happened again, unless...

    Puppy Wilbur's first flight

Nah, Pibbles are also bulldogs. They're all descended from Chinese Mastiffs bred with terriers for the charming former sport of bull-baiting. American Bulldogs were bred to be most like what the original bull dogs were. Course, they all have the wunnerful bulldog love, loyalty, and...

    Puppy Wilbur's first flight

Oh. Yeah. I get it. Thanks for the warning. My biggest fear is a dog pushing the seat back forward into the yoke. ...so I won't depend on doggie seat belts unless I have a passenger in the right seat. Sent from my Nexus 9 using Tapatalk

    Puppy Wilbur's first flight

I'm going to fly to Sparta/Grand Rapids MI to pick up my rescued puppy Wilbur next weekend. (Guess who he's named after?) He's an American Bulldog like his big sister, Dakota. I got a good sized Kennel/carrier for him, with a warming mat and some puppy pads. We just found out that it doesn't...

Applying a reserved N number to your new aircraft,

Isn't there a paper form that you mail in to advise the FAA that you applied the new number to the aircraft? Oh yeah. I visited the FSDO for a revised airworthiness certificate so the FAA gets notified that way, too.

    Hoverboard Action

While I was backing out of the driveway on Christmas day I barely saw this strange blue light on the street right behind me. Yep. Dumass kid all dressed in black on his new hoverboard. How do you turn it? Lean left and right?

    A really dumb accident

My Cherokee 235 with the 5 position fuel selector has an extra "Are you sure?" detent that block the OFF position...BUT it can unintentionally go halfway between tanks so you can have crossfeed entertainment.

Got the medical but FAA won't supply student cert?

THIS. Because I was the worlds longest time student pilot, I was in the situation, right through my checkride. You carry two certificates. The first one is your original student certificate that happens to have an expired medical on the back of it. The second one is your current medical...

Nailed by a laser the other night....

There are plenty of videos from Police helicopters who not only have the goof on video, but got hit by the laser beforehand. They can keep the guy in view and guide the cops on the ground right to him.

    Christmas Laser Lights

I bought two of the ones from Monoprice. I'll set up them up tonight. And my house is about 2 miles out right on a runway centerline... ...but not on the lighted runway that would be used at night.

If you left your 747's in Malaysia, They would like you to please pick them up.

Yeah, interest - "usury" - is forbidden. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usury

If you left your 747's in Malaysia, They would like you to please pick them up.

I thought that lending and borrowing are un-Islamic. That means they'd be in trouble just for getting the loan...or is it just interest that's not allowed?

Why aren't more Cirrus(Cirri?) used as aerobatic airplanes?

The Cirrus has a chute because Alan Klapmeier had a mid air collision where the other guy got killed. For FAA certification, spin recovery did not have to be demonstrated because the Cirrus has a chute. AFAIK, Cirri have been spin tested by some brave souls.
