    Waukesha, WI flight training?

If you don’t mind a short drive, CubAir in Hartford is excellent. I believe they have an Archer, as well as a 150 in addition to the Cubs they are well known for. Just did a TW endorsement with them and would highly recommend them.

    Any Aero Commander Darter owners?

All good points. Thanks for the responses. I’m leaning toward steering her away from the deal. I was concerned about maintenance etc costs as has been pointed out. $53,000 seems steep imho for this airplane. I was thinking more in the $35-40,00 range, knowing it’s history. as to her owning...

Talk me into (or out of) a fabric airplane.

Good to hear. I’m currently painting my Hatz Classic in polytone. I used it due to ease of application, repairability, a the fact that I wanted my Classic to look more like a vintage airplane and show a little fabric weave.

RV Horizontal Stab Rear Spar SB…

Agree with you. I like to poke fun at the “kids” that are building the match drilled RV kits these days that all they need to do is toss a bunch of clecoes in the box the kit came in, shake it a bit, and the airframe will be all clecoed and set to rivet. I went to a forum at OSH last year put...

    Navy T-6 down

My uncle was a naval flight instructor in WWII. I would catch holy hell if I referred to the airplane in question as a T6 or Texan. I’m mean, the man had SNJ on his car license plate.
