The hangar I rent has the same type guard. I don't think the cable is suppose to touch the cable. I'll look at it today or tomorrow and report back

We used chains to tie down the P-3 Orion I worked on when bad weather was expected. A little difference in the weight of the airframe...:rolleyes:

Very true, we get a PFD check in October. It's been around $1500 +/- for the past 10 years. That really does not come close to making up for high property taxes, food, utilities, fuel for heating/auto/plane, not to mention air fare to get out of town. Not complaining it is what it is. I think...

I was referring to @Shepherd's post of 10 hours a month. 900 gallons at Juneau's fuel price would be $8,802..:(

Payed $9.78 yesterday here in Juneau. That's up about $3.00 from 6 months ago....:(

Fuel burn in my plane is about 9 gal/hr at current 100LL prices that's $900....:( The most hours that I have flown is 35 hrs in 4 days. Good luck and have fun @Rich Holt

I'm surprised that not more folks recommenced the 30-30 lever action. It is one of my favorite rifles passed down from my dad. The 30-30 is good up to 150/200 yards. That would be fine for the hogs and for most deer hunts.

I spent yesterday helping flush the airframe with fresh water. The salvage team a friend, his father-in-law and one of the tower controllers set out to locate the plane and tie a rope on it and drag it as close to shore as possible. It took several hours to locate the plane as it was fully...

Two friends ditched a Stinson close to shore and were rescued today. I'm happy both are in good spirits after there ordeal. Both are great guys and take safety very seriously, that is most likely why they survived the ditching...:)...
