    GA Shipments continue Upward Trend

That 1 Bonanza is really interesting. Wonder if it was a single special order or did they have extra resources and said "let's make one to see if it sells"?

Weird placement of car parts. Why?

Is that why everyone is converting their EL switch and CB panels to integral LEDs?

Weird placement of car parts. Why?

Just an hour ago the neighbor asked me to help her replace the battery on her Ford SUV (Escape I think). So to reach the battery you remove: A. Both windshield wipers. B. 7 clips to remove the cover #1 C. The brake fluid reservoir D. 4 bolts to remove cover #2 Even after all that the battery...

    I’m calling the peak

Don't forget the 200k 77 Archer with no info, description.

    I’m calling the peak

Tell it to the guy who's trying to sell his cardinal for 1/4 million for over a year now. Although, yes, some do... free money is easy to spend.

Do engine out landigs have to be reported?

Interesting, so if my flaps fail and I perform an uneventful landing it has to be reported but the engine no?

Do engine out landigs have to be reported?

That reg actually prompted my question. Isn't engine considered a flight control system?

Do engine out landigs have to be reported?

Say I'm flying at a rural, un-towered airport, doing some pattern work and my engine quits. Being in the pattern, I manage to perform an uneventful engine out landing without as much as inconveniencing anyone (even have enough energy to exit the runway and roll to my hangar). Does this need to...

    I’m calling the peak

....70s Archers and Cardinals are now being sold for $150k+. Those were in the $100k-$120k range last spring and even cheaper when this thread started. I don't think this curve has a local maxima...

Buying ex Civil Air Patrol aircraft.

Yep...so what's the catch? Although both are out or annual, but otherwise great maintenance records and I've seen a lot worse being sold for a lot more. 5-6k hours on a properly maintained plane is not that much. Plus I assume the pilots who flew those are far more experienced than the student...

    I’m calling the peak

...I don't know...been actively looking for both, an airplane and a house for a long time and in both cases, for a very short time, prices seemed to at least stabilize only to shoot up again. People still have no problem going $100k-$300k over asking on houses and most of the airplanes (if...

...which is preferable over a low time / low time since overhaul, but done when "Rubber Soul" was in top of the charts, no?

From your reply I assume that the PS should be changed. How about just painting over the seals, logos and any other CAP identifiers?

Buying ex Civil Air Patrol aircraft.

I have spent several hours going through all the logbooks of 3 different aircraft that were previously flown for CAP. All the records were there, everything well documented, engines never missed an overhaul (whether hours or years), maintenance performed on time, etc. And yet the prices are way...

    Off-putting things in aircraft ads.

Not getting tongue in cheek humor (although that also does not come up in ads too often)
