I have GDL39-3D units hard wired in both planes. If I use my GP screen on the iPad with the GDL, I can’t see any difference between it and the G3X. I’m happy.

You guys assume it’s material costs. I’d guess overhead has more to do with it. We in business see material prices and adjust for them every day. Overhead not so much.

172s never had jackscrew trim. Straight tail 182s did, and they convert nicely to taildragging. I wouldn’t convert a 172 myself. They’re great planes, but not great taildraggers. I sold a Hawk XP to buy a 180 for that reason, so I do have some perspective.

You don’t need a lot of any one item. 20-25 each of a lot of items is a better idea. I could use more drawers but the Husky cases work for less used items. I’ll suggest that a rolling cart is a requirement. Three works even better!
