    Aircraft Upholstery Fabric. US

As to burn cert., IIRC AC43.13 outlines the procedure, and the specs on the burn cabinet. It's really very simple, even a caveman can do it. I used leather, and treated carpet in my airplane.

Is the Skybeacon/Tailbeacon still the cheapest and easiest ADS-B option?

So, it's legal, and allows me inside the Mode C veil, didn't cost much, and that is a good thing. If I had an airplane capable of going above 18kft, And intended to fly to Canada, I would have gone a different route, mabe.

Experimental Pilots - How do you insure your plane for a reasonable rate?

I too use Falcon, and have been pleased. Up until the past year or so, it seems that the rates have been climbing. As to cars, I too buy cheap used cars, that serve me well. The most I'm willing to pay for a used car is about $3k, but for that price it must be outstanding. the cheapest...

Is the Skybeacon/Tailbeacon still the cheapest and easiest ADS-B option?

The tailbeacon/skybeacon do not require an external WAAS source. Simply a working mode C transponder.

Flight following - not sure why I didn't use it before

True, but easier to get clearance while already on FF, than just calling up ATL Approach and asking for it.

Flight following - not sure why I didn't use it before

I use FF most of the time on long flights. And on some shorter ones. case in point: I can get to Aircraft Spruce in about 30 min or less if I'm on FF, otherwise I have to go around the ATL class B which is HUGE. On FF I can fly right over Hartsfield, at 4500 pretty much straight to my destination.

    Stewart Systems

Just a quick question. What fabric is used with the Stewart System? Is it Ceconite, Dacron, Polyester, Razorback, grade A, or what? No mention of specific fabric in the manual. I guess with heat tautening, Grade A is out.

    Piper Cherokee 140 restoration

Just my own take on it; You will end up with just a bit more in it, than what it will be worth in dollars. But you can fly off some of that. Now, had you made an arrangement to fly it for these past 15 years it would probably be in much better shape. As to condition/corrosion, it depends on...

Hangar Rash… insurance or just fix it?

2024-T3 doesn't like to be straightened. Especially when creased as shown in the pics. Not saying it can't be safely done, But do not apply heat enough to allow the metal to move. Unless you are equipped to re-heat treat that area. The only proper repair that I can think of is to replace the...

    Rules for using MOGAS?

And burned a helluva lot more fuel, at a much higher price/gallon than avgas. On top of that, add to it the fact that the fuel system had to be modified to handle alcohol without deterioration, and I'd wager that cold starts were troublesome at times.

What happened before I bought it?

I recently bought 3 Taylorcraft projects. One, a complete airplane, minus prop, and wing struts, disassembled. The others just a collection of parts, a fuselage frame, and logs and data plates. The one that is mostly complete is pretty well damaged. Left wing both spars broken, leading...
