'Flying Lessons' from Mastery Flight Training on the subject from the perspective of the low engine usage over the years and the overhaul being done 25 years ago, and 'deferring engine overhaul indefinitely'. Interesting paragraph here if it hasn't been brought up already: A witness reported...

Any reason this time wouldn't count?

The 25 hours doesn't have to be PIC? If he got the instruction before he got his add-on can he count it?

    Air-to-Air Cessna 210

Nice panel too. I see Bill Cox wrote the article too. Been reading after him since I started flying in '79. Or at least not too long after that.

Does it get any nuttier than this?

Yeah, I tried those when I first got mine and they didn't block any noise. They didn't fit my ears like the yellow ones. The yellow ones work for me though when I wear them. The Mathematically Boring Engine

Yeah, but a Skylane is much cooler than a Ford Fairlane. :D I think the 172 may be more the Fairlane.

    The Mathematically Boring Engine

I remember years ago reading I believe a Popular Mechanics magazine and they wanted to find the 'perfect' car, one basically what you're talking about. To make a long story short, the winner was the Ford Fairlane. The perfectly boring car.

Is Flight Following a Clearance? Subscriber question: “Is being on flight following enough to enter Class B, C, and D airspace? Or do I need a clearance?” — Charley V. John: “Let’s get the two easy ones out of the way first. A separate and specific clearance is always required for Class B...

Have You Had Covid? Bad News: Your Aviation Medical Examiner Needs To Know All About It

What if you believe you had it but never got tested? My wife had it and confirmed by testing. Fever, etc. I got what amounted to a cold while she had it, but never tested but did lose my taste so pretty sure I had it.

Have You Had Covid? Bad News: Your Aviation Medical Examiner Needs To Know All About It

Excerpt: In the latter two cases, AMEs will need to defer the exam of the pilot or controller and put it in the FAA’s court to deal with. With similar conditions, the FAA will require what is often expensive medical testing before they will issue the pilot medical certification...
