    Reno midair

You aren't very perceptive though — I was agreeing with you. Talking down to this audience isn't going to win you many friends either. Put your resume in your profile and let your reasoning appeal to the unwashed is my advice.

    Solution: More cameras

Why? Because every day, it seems, you read about some person getting arrested that you saw in a video a couple of weeks earlier shoving another person in front of a train or some other heinous act. They identify them by studying the camera footage. My conclusion, then, is we need more cameras...

    Solution: More cameras

Why not? When criminals know they'll be photographed everywhere they went before and after their crime, because their crime-buddies are all getting locked up by the police right away, why won't people be safer? Maybe in your crime-ridden neighborhood you'll just let 'em go? That would explain...

    Solution: More cameras

Ha ha. You didn't bother to read my original post on the matter, I see. I proposed miniaturized personal camera equipment that people wear to record their surroundings as they move through crime-ridden areas (like your local Target). The data could be collected and saved long enough to help...

    Reno midair

Doesn't look like anybody learned much from the Texas disaster — another case of a T-boned airplane falling from the sky in an "airshow" event.

    Solution: More cameras

Well then, more bullets. We need more bullets and less cameras, have it your way.

    Assess my 7600 actions

Heh. It seems like such a simple thing for people to understand if they would just go back and follow the history of the rule — especially the Chief Counsel's office, like you just have. I've argued the point here many times and yet people still get tripped up on "leave clearance limit" and want...

    Solution: More cameras

No, not books — ads. For these things: https://www.amazon.com/Security-Panoramic-Wireless-Surveillance-Detection/dp/B094JKN2C4 Somebody should miniaturize the camera (forget the bulb) and sew it into some clothing or hat, maybe. Then upload your surroundings as you move through crowded...

    Assess my 7600 actions

I wrote to the office that made the change which was ATO (ATC) via the customer help website. ATO dumped the questions to Chief Counsel and it was handed down (passed the buck) to a newbie lawyer (Sabrina Jawed). When her first answer didn't respond to my questions I protested, so she did a...

    Assess my 7600 actions

They never should have changed "holding fix" to "clearance limit" (https://static1.squarespace.com/static/56e9984b8a65e2f48d30c5ab/t/573f2dbbf699bb30df228990/1463758269692/08+05+1985.pdf), it confuses the Chief Counsel to no end. EDIT: In 1980, it used to be 91.127(c)(4) "Leave holding fix".

Yeah, these airplanes don't fly anywhere near as good as a simulator.

    IAP Brief

As you can see, the newbies like the briefing strip. They probably prefer the ABC-style keyboards over QWERTY, too, I suppose. The fact is, if you're a competent pilot, no matter where the latest group of smart people think they should hide the most important information for everybody else to...

    DG knob

Have you looked under the seat? How about below the floor laying on the inside surface of the fabric? I lost a set of keys once in my Citabria and found them by slapping the fabric on the bottom of the fuselage during pre-flights. Eventually they worked their way back to the tailwheel and I...

    Region of reverse command

Lucky you, I don't have time to read all the posts so I'm sorry if somebody else said this. See Aerodynamics for Naval Aviators, Page 353. The there's more there than any pilot needs to know. The term's been around since at least 1960.

    Region of reverse command

I'll just take this one. If you are close to stalling, raising pitch could stall the wing. Adding power could result in a climb or slower descent. That's the opposite of what you wrote.
