One airframe with both single & twin-engine versions

I could've sworn my mechanic was working on a twin a couple years ago and he had told me it was developed from a single engine version, but he couldn't remember what it was. I pestered him with some of the info from this post, and he did say Lance & Seneca, and you verified it. Phew! Thanks for...

One airframe with both single & twin-engine versions

What airplane has both single and twin-engine versions? It's a light plane, like a Bonanza or something. Or maybe I've dreamed this up.

Performance Charts for a Luscombe 8E

I never did do anything formal. I guess I've just flown the plane enough now and am generally conservative enough with respect to fuel that it's not an issue. And don't let anyone tell you that the mixture in a Luscombe doesn't do anything. With the Stromberg, it auto leans up to 5,000 feet, but...

    It's a Luscombe.

    Safety wire fuel filter bail?

How many of you safety wire the top ends of the fuel filter bail? Mine had one on it before, but then another A&P who was helping me with a fuel leak ridiculed that, saying all you need to do is bend the bail ends in before reinstalling it. EDIT: I went ahead and ran over to the airport and did...

Trent Palmer (YouTuber Bush Pilot Channel) Suspended By FAA

How does one ascertain, before beginning a flight, if there are animals on the runway at which you're considering landing? Answer: you can't. You have to do an inspection pass or a low approach to scare the animals off the runway. After that, you decide whether or not to land.

FARs Regarding Tailwheel Endorsement (is it required?)

The only airplane I’d flown up until around 250 hours was my Luscombe. I took the check ride in my Luscombe.

FARs Regarding Tailwheel Endorsement (is it required?)

There’s obviously confusion about what, precisely, that means.

FARs Regarding Tailwheel Endorsement (is it required?)

So you're saying the endorsement to solo is the tailwheel endorsement?

FARs Regarding Tailwheel Endorsement (is it required?)

Which FARs clarify whether or not a tailwheel endorsement is required if one gets their Private Pilot Certificate in a tailwheel airplane? There is disagreement among some regarding whether or not the endorsement is required in this case.

Separate log entry for each leg in ForeFlight?

I just began using ForeFlight. After my very first flight using it, I noticed it logged that flight's three legs as one log entry. Can I specify that ForeFlight create one log entry per leg? Thanks, Jay

    What tailwheel is this?

Cool! Now THAT'S a tail dragger! Really!

    What tailwheel is this?

Yes. "When the plane was manufactured (Dec. 19th, 1946), the tailwheel was (apparently) a Maule SFS-1-4."
