    At the time I didn't understand why he wouldn't, but I don't blame him. Especially with all the trouble I had trying to get my ride finished. Two letters of discontinuance, one for expired registration(new one got thrown out by mistake),and the next for a transponder malfunction. Doesn't boost...

    Congrats! As the others said, go take a flight around the area and look out the window! Go get some imc too! It's a creepy/weird feeling busting through a cloud solo the first time. I got mine in September last year, I got some imc on the way home and the following day. Definitely try to learn...

    I used the same guy out of CRW Charleston WV for my ppl and ir. Kind of the same issue as above being a hour flight away though. His schedule was pretty easy to work with though for the most part.

    We went up in actual a couple times when I was training. It is a sobering experience for sure. When I hit imc solo after getting my rating it still scared the **** out of me, but I had the confidence to tackle it thanks to being exposed to it while training.

    I wonder the nature of the issue that a dermatologist would recommend gloves, but not anything for his arms or face. Isn't a pilot more likely for cancerous places, from the constant exposure to the sun, developing on their face?
