I got the notification this time. WX has been doo doo here all night and morning. In for the 18th.

On Fathers Day weekend, I received the best gift ever. The gift of life. We got the call that they found a kidney for my daughter and she had a successful transplant surgery. 6 months later she is still kicking ass recovering and we are starting to finally be able to look to the future.

that’s why they say West Virginia is almost heaven. Because it’s right next to Ohio.

There’s one in the pax terminal at HTS!

It’s right beside a federal correctional facility too! Lots of old strip mines in the area. Restaurant is great, and the people are friendly. Stays pretty busy with the locals who drive or ride their atv’s in. Runway is fun. Has a dip in it. Was just down there a few weeks ago.

Even better, Space Force reports! Hate that I had to miss this year. Daughter is close to having kidney transplant we ended up having appointments out of town that Monday couldn’t make it work. Definitely making the next one

Looks like I’ll only be able to make it down for the day Saturday. We have to travel Sunday for dr appointments Monday with my daughter. I inquired about transferring my cabin reservation to someone else, but they we’re unable to do so. So I canceled it. It’s showing available now on their site...

What’s the pass/code word when we call to reserve a place? Or should I not tell them I’m meeting up with you guys so they don’t get suspicious.

I’m at the bottom of the state, but have been in and out of Lunken and I69. Great people at both. Tower at LUK is always helpful and nice. Sportys is a little pricey, kinda seemed to be focused on career students but it might have been the instructor. Red Stewart is on my list for a tailwheel...

The controllers there are always so nice and helpful too. I’ve done a touch and go there coming out of LUK before. I had heard at one point they may get downgraded to a Charlie, after one,of the airlines pulled a lot of flights out, but Amazon helped stave that off.
