    USA, USA, USA...Hockey

If Quick is on his game (which it looks like right now), he can be unstoppable---if Canada doesn't get first goal, could be BIG trouble.

That would be wrong. Do your research. And by the way, 6 out of 25 players is not a majority...(and Yes I see your edit)..however, most people in a discussion (should) check facts first, then mouth off. For my American friends, I am not saying the US players are not every bit as good as...

I have to be the luckiest SOB ever.

Sorry for your loss. Fathers and sons (or brothers) sometimes have difficulties just visiting or picking up the phone to see how things are going. By having a plane in both your lives, it make a nice excuse to keep in touch. I have kept a partnership in a boat with my brother far beyond it's...

    Is this employer a Jerk?

Reminds me of the good 'ol days of Dad flying air taxi on the BC Coast. Seems there were 4 pilots on payroll, but only enough money in the account for paying 3 every payday. Became a race to the bank every payday, guy #4 got his pay the week following. Ah the memories.

FAA Puts Sleep Apnea Rules To Bed

Further to my previous post, here's a blog post from another pilot about his journey with the FAA and sleep apnea. http://miley.us/2013/12/07/apnea-no-slapping/

    Back to protein shakes

In my case, Intermittent Fasting has worked, I stop eating at 8.00 pm, and don't eat again until Noon the next day. Other "fasters" eat regular 6 days a week, and fast on the 7th. I have lost 10 lbs that have never come off before, from 185 to 175, and I feel good about how I am right now. I...

FAA Puts Sleep Apnea Rules To Bed

I have sleep apnea, have been on the CPAP machine for three years now. My wife noticed my symptoms before I did, we never clued into my sleep issues (even though I snored). Only after discussing my buddy's sleep apnea (he's an ambulance paramedic), did I clue into it. It IS a problem, and...

    APIS for Mexico

Just like for me flying into the US, only flown in once since implementation of eAPIS. I can stomach filing before entering the US, but not for leaving.Too much trouble for too little return. But that's just me.

Why do you do this? (fly)

I like the different perspective I get, looking down on the landscape from above. I also get an escape from reality.

To fly or not to fly with a new pilot...

How many responses have validated going on the ride? And how many have raised serious concerns? Sometimes we have to work through the overburden to get to the golf nuggets. It is a difficult decision, but I am confident that you will make the right choice, whatever way you go.

To fly or not to fly with a new pilot...

Genius does not equate to judgement. Reciting facts and crunching numbers does not make one a better pilot, it just impresses the gullible. Listen to your gut...would you let one of children ride with this pilot? What does it get you to go for the ride (fear)? What do you give up (knowledge...
