    Air France 447 article

Vanity Fair has very...good...articles. Another example of a good story, is "The Theft of the Mona Lisa". http://www.vanityfair.com/style/features/2009/05/mona-lisa-excerpt200905 It's a good story. And true.

    New Co-pilot Reaction

I was watching a game when she told me. I said, "Can't you wait for the whistle before you talk to me?" Then the light bulb went on.... Congrats...it's rewarding, frustrating & constraining, but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

    Lockheed Fusion Powered Engine

Very timely...I just listened to a couple of podcasts about nuclear fusion, very enlightening. One, Stuff You Should Know-Nuclear Fusion, and Two- Omega Tau, from Germany, in English, talking with a member of the ITER project The first one is easy to understand, but the second is way...

    The father I never knew

I was lucky enough to request and receive copies of my Dad's and my Uncle's service records from the Air Force. Interesting to see how a 15 yr old (Dad) fills out an application form (he lied about his age to join up). Interesting to see that my Uncle (who everyone thought was a Saint) had a few...

    Creepy Unknown Animal Call

We had a strange sound from our woods for years, only in the spring(s), that we couldn't identify, until our neighbour travelled to the east coast (we're on the West Coast) and heard the same sound. Turns out it was an owl....it sounded like a woodpecker pecking, but on a strange type of tree.

    Enterovirus

It's a BIG leap to ASSUME that there MIGHT be some interaction with immigrant children. I am a faithful reader of Investors Business Daily, and they are right on on their approach to stock market investing...their editorials and politics I have to say "not so much"..

    Enterovirus

Not verified From the CDC website: How common is EV-D68 in the United States? In general, a mix of enteroviruses circulates every year, and different types of enteroviruses can be common in different years. Small numbers of EV-D68 have been reported regularly to CDC since 1987...

    Enterovirus

According to CDC website, there is no vaccine, so no "anti vaccination" issues. Kids crossing the border as a source of the infection does not explain Kansas City, or Chicago, or the fact that some cases are noted every year in the country. What is frightening about this outbreak is the...

    Are People Really This Stupid?

Haha That must be a common one. When some tourists are on Grouse Mountain, at 3,000 ft elevation, you can see Vancouver Island 24 miles away, across Georgia Strait. Staff have been asked "Is that Japan?" My favourite is when my daughter is working in the coffee bar, as a barista, she will...
