Flying to Las Vegas, which airport / FBO is "best"

I’ve used Henderson and North Las Vegas, we flew in from the east coast and I usually used VGT. Even flying a Citation, I never considered LAS.

No new questions on POA so here is a new old question - prop tip speed and noise

The exterior noise stops, the noise inside would get considerably louder! :D

Looking for a Cessna 210 and Saratoga to compare the interiors, ATL area

I’ve seen that picture a few times on here! I’m looking at spending a good bit of cash and nothing beats crawling in and around one to see how it fits and feels.

I’d love to buy the ever elusive 6 passenger Mooney!!:D:D

Looking for a Cessna 210 and Saratoga to compare the interiors, ATL area

I thought about a Seneca as well, but I’m thinking of selling the 182 once my son gets his IR, then have one plane to share!

Looking for a Cessna 210 and Saratoga to compare the interiors, ATL area

I didn’t figure it was, but I’d like to look at the second and third row seating as well, knowing the rear seats are for kids. I am really wanting to check out the Saratoga, I don’t have hardly any time in any Piper models.

Looking for a Cessna 210 and Saratoga to compare the interiors, ATL area

My Conquest is under contract and I think I want a 210 or a Saratoga. I have 34 years in Cessnas and about 10 hours in Pipers. But, I like the club seating idea. I want to look at both of them to see the roominess and ease of entry for myself. There aren’t many for sale and I’d rather know for...

Leaded gas and the EPA...here it comes

The Q model and up cannot run mogas, while P models and before can.

    Flying overweight

I don’t recommend flying over gross, has it happened safely a lot if times, of course it has. BUT, max gross takeoff weight is there for safety! As you fly more, you’ll figure out that you almost never need full tanks. 5-6 hours of fuel is generally double the range of most bladders! It’s good...

    Enjoying the V35B

I was trying to exclude the classics like the Staggerwing!

    Enjoying the V35B

Beautiful airplane, although I’ve owned Cessnas all my life, I think the V-tail is probably the best looking modern airplane out there.

    Taking your dog flying

Mine definitely like the Conquest better than the 182! Neither of these pups got to ride in the Citation, but my Golden liked it!

    New fuel bladders 182Q

Our 77 Q has bladders and the 14 volt electrical system, basically a P with the slower turning engine. :D

    Flex Aero painting in Deland

Has anyone used them recently? They gave me a good quote on my Conquest, and a 4 week completion time. I figure that’s 6 weeks, but I’m more concerned about quality. I appreciate any feedback.

Taboo thread - How do we afford to fly?

I’ve been friends with Howard for 25 years, great guy and a fine company to deal with, might not be the cheapest game in town, but you won’t have any issues!

Taboo thread - How do we afford to fly?

I guess I’ll play along. Age 57 Income, substantially less now that I’ve retired. Airplanes both paid for, 182Q that my dad and I bought for my son to fly. Cessna 425 that I really like to fly, but can’t justify the expense of keeping it. So, as soon as the SID inspection is completed, she’ll be...

You guys- I've got a jet

I hate to tell the almighty Citation pilot, but he can probably slow down to around 110-120 knots and fit right into the pattern! He has obviously never been to Destin, before the tower, on a holiday weekend!!:D:D Or pretty much any destination airport during busy times. He was trying to fit one...

Zero carbon emissions for major airline -- Do you think this is achievable? If so, how?

OK, how old is this guy? I am guessing, because it's not important enough to look it up, so let's say he's 60 for the sake of argument. He will be CEO for a maximum of 10 more years, right? That is 19 years from the stated goal, the odds of him being around then are slim and being head of the...
