    Dynon 182 Auto Pilot Approved

Hopefully this paves the way for more aircraft types to be certified… regardless this is great for everyone to provide more options for those looking to ditch their analog APs

    Local Aircraft Auction

The Ercoupe is tempting! That’d be a long flight to FL

    GI-275 and Century 2000

Thanks for the input guys… I’m considering delaying the upgrade now and wait until I can do it with a garmin AP to ensure everything works together as intended.

    CVT transmission

I had a 2014 Honda Accord with 8 SPD CVT and I was worried about it being the single point of failure down the road.. eventually the smooth shifting stopped with occasional slips… I heard great things about the Toyota CVT’s with their Hybrids replaced that with a Lexus US250h and the difference...

    GI-275 and Century 2000

Thanks for the reply Jim.. that helps alot. Yeah the shop I am planning on using has successfully done other century interfaces.. my plan is to eventually shell out the AMU’s for the GFC-600 but since the C2000 is running fine I’d like to stick with that for the time being… I wish century was...

    GI-275 and Century 2000

Anyone have this setup? I’m contemplating pulling the trigger on the upgrade and wonder how these two play together. Thanks!

Here’s a link to a video of him flying over some boats off of Islamorada… https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cj-xqh4snN_/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y%3D

    Hyde/Washington Exec/W32

Damn… I remember driving past Hyde as a kid looking at all the airplanes… to be honest though I’m surprised it lasted this long.. even 20 years ago when I flew out of Potomac and did pattern work there it needed a refresh. Is Stan still around running things through the end of the year?

    I'm new here!

Welcome! Like everyone said aviation isn’t cheap but definitely rewarding… I’m on the NE coast of Florida. I’d recommend at least reviewing a rusty pilot seminar to see all the changes that have happened in GA since you last flew. Also if you plan on getting an airplane or even have a doubt I’d...

    Post hurricane power questions:

Like Bell 206 said I used a small inverter generator to popper my fridge and a few fans with no issues.. they’re pretty inexpensive and quieter than your standard generator and you can run them in parallel if you need to for more output. I went the whole house standby generator route a few years...

KWVI Watsonville MId Air, Multiple Fatalities

I also have a Baron 55 and I agree no way 180kt @ 3 miles am I anywhere near stabilized to do a full stop landing… Even at 140 I’d still have my hands full. It seems like most of his flights were out of Turlock which is a shorter runway you would think that the pilot would be akin to flying at...

    CV-22 Grounded

Agree but still think it’s a horrible replacement for the COD mission

    CV-22 Grounded

Looks like it’s only the Air Force ones for now, the Marines are opting to continue operations. Apparently it’s a clutch issue that’s behind it. I wonder what the Navy will do with their CMV-22’s? https://www.navytimes.com/air/2022/08/18/us-marine-corps-isnt-grounding-osprey-fleet-over-clutch-issue/

N720RP 3 Fatalities in West Virginia

I’m in the same boat as you when I fly pistons if I can’t divert around a line of storms in VMC then it’s time to land and wait it out or stay home.. it’s not worth the risk. I wonder if he was using ADS-B to shoot the gap which can be misleading because of the delay the radar picture shows…...

    FlightsForBites.com

That brings back memories! I still have my last one from circa-2000 somewhere. On another note I added Hangar One Bistro to the list, it’s the airport restaurant at KSGJ (Saint Augustine, FL).

    Flying milestone

Glad you figured out the NORDO issue and was able to make it back without issue. Always great flying solo… especially a twin! What kind of twin is it? I love having the security of the second engine flying low over all the swamps in central florida.

My Bonanza is getting a new panel

Martin.. when is the ETA for your install to be complete? Thanks for the video, you’ve convinced me when it’s time to replace the legacy C2000 in my Baron I’ll go with the GFC-600.

I flew a Cessna 162 Skycatcher LSA across the USA alone ... and it was awesome

That is AWESOME… Enjoyed the pictures your posted. What airport were the T-45’s at? The closest I ever came to your trip was ferrying a 150 from Chicago to Atlantic City VFR over 20 years ago.

And it's not even for an airplane

Damn that’s highway robbery… there’s no “non-certified” version of knobs available at half the cost?
