    Looking to upgrade avionics

Given what it cost me to do audio panel and the GNX 375 my guess is you are going to be just over $20k to do the list above. Then when you are ready to spend the second $20k+ for phase two you can install dual G5s and a GFC 500 autopilot. That will give you a seriously solid IFR cross country...

    Looking to upgrade avionics

-New Audio Panel -GNX 375 gets you an ADSB in/out transponder and nice IFR GPS -GNC 255 Nav/Com (or used SL30 if you can find one) for your Com 1 -Keep the KY97A for com 2 - An indicator for the GPS/VOR That would give you a very capable IFR stack retaining your basic 6 pack. Still not going...

    JPI EDM download port

Our old 700 had a separate wire that was about 2ft long coming off the back of the unit that had the port. Think it was white. This may have been an optional feature though.

    Field Sobriety Tests

The three standardized field sobriety tests have been studied extensively and have proven to have a combined accuracy of 91% in detecting a BAC of .08g% or higher. These tests along with someone’s driving clues and physical clues once personal contact is made are all taken into account before...

    JPI 700 to 730 Upgrade

I was under the impression that a repair would probably cost in the neighborhood of $500. If JPI will fix it in the $150-200 range will probably just stick with the 700. Looks like upgrade price is $1250.

    JPI 700 to 730 Upgrade

Anyone have experience doing an upgrade from a JPI 700 to 730? We have a 700 that just decided to stop working on us. It has a bunch of optional sensors like fuel flow, OAT, RPM and oil temp and pressure. From my reading it sounds as if this is as simple as unplugging the harness from the old...

NTSB found a total of 7-8oz of fuel in the plane. Just don’t see how people let this happen.

    Nav Indicator for GNX 375

Sounds like you made a decision to go with the G5 which is probably the best option. For others that may be reading this thread later... We did a nearly identical upgrade of new audio panel and GNX 375 to our Cherokee. We kept our dual Narco 12D Navcoms which had recently been gone through and...

For Sale Method Seven 25% discount, % of proceeds to healthcare.

I just bought a pair of their Patriot Sky glasses. No way affiliated with them but wanted to give a pirep for anyone considering. They are really nice very light and the temples are really thin so they don’t interfere with the headset. I have several pairs of Costas which I love for the...

I have a used Stratux I’ll sell for $75 if anyone is interested. Worked well but as said above required an occasional reboot. No longer needed after a panel upgrade.

    study material for the written

I just had excellent results using Sheppard Air for my Instrument written (only missed 3 and only took me 20 mins to take). It downloads completely to your device so no need for internet connection. There were no surprise questions on the test. I had seen them all with Sheppard Air.

Garmin 175 as a position source.

GNX 375 get both in one box. As I posted in another thread we did the upgrade back in July in order to get exactly what you are looking for. IFR GPS and a new transponder with ADSB in/out. IMHO it is a more capable and user friendly GPS than the 430/530. Obviously no com but if your radios...

What do we think of the GNX 375?

See you just have the GPS175. For reference to others that may be reading the GNX375 has the integrated transponder/ADSB In/Out. All of the ADSB info is also sent to ForeFlight when connected via Bluetooth.

What do we think of the GNX 375?

Built in Bluetooth. Once connected there will be another little roundish icon button on top right of ForeFlight. Tap that and you can either send to or receive from the panel. If sending to panel the message button will flash and then press to confirm the transfer. If you change something...

What do we think of the GNX 375?

Had a GNX 375 installed in Cherokee back in July. We used it as a way to be ADSB compliant and add IFR GPS capability. Avionics shop had a slightly used King KI-209A indicator that we paired it with. The unit has been fantastic. The ability to easily send flight plans or change in flight...
