    Question about twin engine design

Oh that turbine Goose is the stuff dreams are made of. Hard to tell if the spinners toe out or if its an optical illusion from the long, narrow nacelles. I guess it would be easy enough to try different angles with a protractor and some fender washers. I need a parachute too.

    Question about twin engine design

Cri-Cri is awesome. If I could build up some multi turbine time in that bad boy, I'd have all kinds of job offers from the heavies!

    Question about twin engine design

Oh it will be way jankier than that. Turbines are far out of my budget. Picture the two of the cheapest homebuilts stuck together a-la P-82 twin mustang. Something like that. It'll make a Piper Geronimo seem like a G5 by comparison. Looking at the Affordaplane and Rotax two strokes. If it...

Great! Thanks! I'm considering a twin experimental and looking at ways to design some safety into it. Its a long ways off though.

    Question about twin engine design

Do multi engine airplanes offset the thrust angle from centerline more than a single? I understand some if not most singles have the crankshaft centerline offset slightly to counteract left turning tendencies. Since asymmetrical thrust is a bigger issue with a multi, would angling both engines...

Tailwheel time...does it matter what its in?

Good deal! I think the small risk of losing money on buying, using, selling that is outweighed by the savings on tailwheel rental as well as reduced insurance costs on something worth insuring down the road.

Tailwheel time...does it matter what its in?

Plenty of elbow room in the affordaplane...

    Hug your kids

Praying that the Almighty pulls you and your heart out of this despair. I cant imagine, but I can be afraid of what its like. My 17 year old did his long xc two weeks ago and he's cramming for his PPL written. He wants to fly Ag planes. Im sorry for your loss.

Aero Commander 200D down at KDVO

Gnoss is notorious for challenging crosswinds or "Gnosswinds" as the local CFIs referred to them. Sad reality of our life choices, and prayers for all involved or impacted by this.

I think its cool and i hope theyre successful. I see some of the crazy stuff bought by people with more dollars than sense and i hope these guys can get in on some of that action. It might even inspire other folks to start fabricating a dream, even if its not a financial success.

    1963 C182F can't find a gauge for 32.5 gallon tanks

I have similar doubts for my 172B. Book says 21 per side, 19.5 usable. Mailbox letters around the caps say 18.5 gallons....i bought a stick for 20 gallon tanks, but who knows until I drain and refill.

    Spin training

Thankfully my flight school in the late 90's had an aerobat. My stick time in the T-28 was a yuuge eye opener....it was on its back and half a turn or so in a blink of an eye by comparison. Need to get the training for my son who's working on his private.

Tailwheel time...does it matter what its in?

The C-119 would put the Air in AirBnB? Lots of windows to offset the coziness of the space? Trucking would probably be the biggest expense for the project....unless you built a yuuge pedestal/staircase to set it on.

Tailwheel time...does it matter what its in?

Due to the jankiness of such a sketchy contraption, I think a hybrid piston puller, jet pusher would be safest-ish if equipped with a BRS, fire suppression and a helmet. If a homebuilt is inspected by the FAA and registered E-AB, do they care what alterations are made after the initial flight...
