Why go to an AME? I used my primary care doc for my BasicMed. It was super easy - didn’t ask for any paperwork or other nonsense from previous visits.
Seriously, try anyone other than an AME.
Ted. My old race car cost about $5000 as a roller. You can build it from scratch for less and make it street legal with a few mods.

The approach folk need to grow a set of balls. The RV currently coming in clearly did not read the NOTAM. Guy needs to be told to leave and read it, or st least STFU on the radio
I am truthfully surprised that type of stuff doesn’t lead to more midair collisions. Actually, the hold over ripon is the one that surprises me most every year. Talk about a recipe for mid air collisions
Here's an interesting thought I had tonight....if set incorrectly, could the SR22 autopilot fly someone full speed into the ground without any warning in 0/0 vis?
I use both. Myflightbook for the app (it's free and awesome), and paper so I have a backup.
My recommendation tho - don't leave your logbook at the flight school. Keep it with you. It's yours, not the schools and if they lost it you'd wish you had it instead.
Nope, not the hospital. But the one I was thinking of is on Lincoln.
Regardless, that's the exit I take to get to work. Still very close to my home and my work.
If that's where I think it is, I was just in that building in the top right corner on Thursday night getting an MRI done.
