    Plane crash on FL freeway

yes it has a divider in that area and it does dip down between the lanes. that area gets bumper to bumper starting just about the time of the crash. a hour later and on the north bound lanes it would have been a lot worse. the north bound lanes come to a complete stop by4 pm.

Reserving N numbers… these companies suck!

a simple solution is to stop allowing payment by credit card over the internet, require payment by check and snail mail, one n number per check, and one check per envelope. lets see that guy write 3000 checks and mail 3000 checks a year.

When does a leaseback make sense?

i was in the leaseback game for about 5 years. i had 3 planes on line. it works if you have an A&P and even better an IA. if not, at a shop rate of $100/hr you had better budget at least $30 and hour just for 100 hour inspections alone. renters are know for flat spotting tires, lead fouling...

    Commercial standards and instructor ratings

simple, never settle for good enough. strive for +_ 0 on everything. i have found that as i get more and more complacent in an airplane i naturally tend to get sloppy. even on a taco tuesday run, i force myshelf to shoot for +-0.

    Alaska Airlines explosive decompression 1/5/23

the thing that the press and the lawyers don't want to talk about is that the time of useful consciousness at 16k is almost 30 minutes. this did not happen at 35k feet. even if none of them worked, with the time it took them to get to 10k nobody would suffer any effects.
