Spare the legalities and such. Will a Cessna 170 door fit up and latch to a 172b,c,d etc era of 172? Looking to helping the local club outfit a Simulator for the local school. They need doors on the 172 cabin. I’m pretty sure they do fit. They still had the small lower hinge on the 172 on this era.

yes. The 175 is a strange airplane on it’s own. And then all of the other airplanes that share its TCDS.

I plan to upgrade to an IFR GPS at some point.

By that logic a 172 is under the 175 and one could put larger tires than a 6.00 on the mains too.

We are about to upgrade to an inertia reel in our 63’ 172. I like the BAS 3 point…. But it’s annoying on the neck after 30 minutes or so. They are nice but they get irritating. I see another company does a 3 point that mounts on the plate by the upper rear door. It’s a 3 point like an automobile...

The 140 had 8.00 mains without STC etc. I missed the beginning of the argument. Basically under CAR it allowed that tire size etc.

I was at the airport this morning. Two older guys were debating airworthiness and so forth. The airplane in discussion was a Cessna 140. He kept trying to say he couldn’t install something on it. And the owner kept saying that he could because the airplane fell under CAR… I came home and googled...

Let’s say this is a 172 VFR only airplane. Old and aging vacuum system and AI and DG. They work for now. I’m thinking about installing dual G5’s. How much am I really missing out by not slaving them to my 250Xl?

I would say I hope that they are the same Music quality as a Quiet Comfort headset. The ones I mow with are incredible to me.

Does the DC have good music speakers ? I sent my DC 13’s in to a place in Kansas and he upgraded them to ANR and stereo. The ANR works fair.. and the music is about like jamming out in your car to the iphone speakers. Pretty lame. A solid waste of money. Everyone has different expectations about...

I can’t decide. I’m buying one of the two soon. Music is 100% essential. Bluetooth on multiple devices is a plus. Help me decide guys.
