sadly, I’ve called 3 times this week. That doesn’t say a lot.

You don’t hear about too many people having problems with them. It was a cheap and legal solution for many people including myself. It sucks because it’s not able to be used with any tracking apps. And then they go and mandate that you have to buy more equipment to use this one.

What a bad deal. I’d love to replace my tail beacon with this for the flight aware tracking for the wife and family. That AV-30 has all kinds of problems. I can’t even imagine spending $4500 on this for the unreliable AV-30. Why didn’t they make the tail beacon dual band. Ughh

I’m confused. I thought this would be plug and play like the tailbeacon. After reading, it seems you have to buy their unreliable AV-30. So was hoping it was just a plug and play dual band adsb out solution.

I think the difficult thing about automotive style vents is that they don’t full close or seal up.

I saw a set of cool and practical looking vents on knots 2 U. Holy cow, $1400+. Anyway, what are some options that point the air more back towards the pilot? I’ve seen some really nice ones but google can’t seems to find a picture of them. Ideas ?

He uses an RC Allen from aircraft spruce. I was thinking about this and saw he did and thought, I need to do it. Staying coordinated is probably my biggest goal.

I wish that were the case. They sold so few RH opening window doors that they are very rare, and even more rare to see as salvage. One guy on the groups found one after looking for 5 years. I’ve looked for 4 years or so. They just don’t exist as salvage. They are on flying 172’s… just not for sale.

I have a project that I’m working on and I’m using cherrymax rivets. It’s not structural but I want a good Rivet in it. Can regular pop rivet “pliars” pull a cherry? I only have like 4 to pull.

I’m looking into headsets, and discovered these last night. I have a friend who loaned me some Clarity Alofts to try. I actually might prefer this style over the headset. I’m Not tall but I hate having a headset on. My big thing is music on long trips is nice. The Clarify music was pretty bad...

I need to be able to hear music in high quality. Meaning, I have. Bose Quiet comfort that I mow with, and they are great. Hood noise reduction and solid music. I love the Clarity Aloft design ( I don’t like headsets) but I think their music sucks from what I’ve heard( pun intended). I guess...

Ok. That’s good to know. I’ll keep an eye out for a damaged door and maybe we can salvage it.
