    This is just a bad question. Jan 1st would have been a proper question. But that is the "most correct" You always look back 6 full calendar months.

    Questions are always at the beginning of most checkrides around here (all certs) 1. Show me you are qualified to apply for this rating 2. Show me the plane is airworthy 3. Explain to me what this certificate you are applying for allows you to do. (Privileges and limitations)

    A lot of time if you are wanting to Ferry airplanes for new owners, they would like to go along on the adventure and log dual time to satisfy insurance requirements.

    Getting to where you are going is largely not the problem. Running out of fuel, busting TFRs, and various other mishaps are more of a concern.

    Do what your CFI tells you. personally I let people use all available information, but would reject the XC plan if this was the extent of the planning that was done :) Said another way, there are a variety of reasons why solely relying on this may be a very poor choice.

    And If you need to fill in a slow week, you can do that with all of those things.. can’t really throw an new IFR student at a slow week. You may find career minded ifr students that want to get HP, complex endorsements, etc as part of there training as well. I think you’ll find the lack of Cfi...

    Isn't the overall PASS rate around 80%. This includes everyone.

    If CFII you should expect it to be very similar in length and depth to the CFI, just different topics. All add-on ratings are more abbreviated as is the list of tasks requried. I would question what you are going to do with the CFII, if you aren't going to do cfi airplane?

    The general trend 2-3 days out is pretty solid. When it happens is not accurate at all.
