    1st Annual in our C-182

I suppose annual prices vary widely across our great land. $1500 for an old C-182 annual with no repairs needed would be considered pretty steep in my parts. I've only ever done one non-owner assisted annual and it cost $1200, but included a dynamic prop balance and a battery box repair...

Most reliable vehicle you've owned vs least reliable

Least reliable: 1998 Ford F-150 Transmission and suspension crapped out 2003 Ford F-150 Transmission suspension and electrical issues 2005 Ford F-150 Ignition system, A/C, suspension issues galore. Still have it, but my wife isn't allowed to take it out of town. To be fair, they all made it...

Zombie Apocalypse Survival: Weapons Load Out

I like that idea. I personally stick with very common calibers for that reason. Where you gonna find 10mm, .300 Blackout, etc, when crap goes south? If the crap has completely hit the fan, there will be 5.56, 9mm, and .45 laying on the ground. I'm also sure to have something chambered in...

    Star Wars IX

I rather enjoyed "The Rise of Skywalker." I'm a lifelong Star Wars lover, and this one, overall, did not disappoint. Certainly not perfect, but pretty darn good in my opinion. I honestly expected Disney to disappoint much more than they have, but they've done a pretty good job. Overall, the...

Avgas - Regular Unleaded Mix question

The Petersen STC doesn't require a mix at all in most engines. They do recommend the ratio you prescribed in Franklin and radial engines, and they recommend running a tank of 100LL every so often (75 hrs, I think) in typical applications. Otherwise, you can as much regular, plus, or premium...

    210 Down - No Fatalities

Local news reporting this morning the pilot lost the engine when switching to the "back-up" fuel tank. I don't know fuel system on the 210s. It appears to be a T210L. @JCranford , do you typically do any tank switching before landing?

Right! If I could get @Dave Theisen to swing up to OK in the PC12, we're golden. 'Preciate the props, ladies and gentlemen. We don't play together often, but we try to get together and play for a reunion or party once every few years. This one was my sister's 25th class reunion.

God Help Me, I'm Starting to Get a Craving for Taco Bell

I like Taco Bell. As with even the higher end chain restaurants, the quality varies. None are anywhere near gourmet food, but several of their items qualify as tasty treats to me. Unfortunately, my favorite offering, the Grilled Stuffed Burrito, has gone the way of the Dodo. Bueno is better.
