    Wright Patt Air Force museum

I used to volunteer there. Pro tip…. Start in Gallery 4, at the back and work your way forward. This way when you are tired from walking, you are closer to the front. Also, most folks start in gallery 1, so why not go directly to the back and skip the crowds.

    I’m calling the peak

Not to mention the ones who say new battery, new tires, just spent $xxx on maintenance. So what, you need to keep your plane airworthy!

Paul Bertarelli is retiring from AVweb?

A lot of the guys that I grew up in Aviation reading are now retiring. Sad for us, but good for them. I only hope the new/next generation of writers are as good.

    Umbrella policies

My guy told me 20 plus years ago that if I’ve been flying for a long time and had the policy for a long time, what ever ”long time” means, they may cover it. But who knows until a claim is filed, which is never I hope. At this point in my life, I may put all my other assets into my wife’s name...

Garmin G5 Calibration Pitch Shows Nose High Level Flight

I think it comes down to what the Pilot desires. For me, I want the pitch angle indicator to read 0 deg when straight and level at 2650 rpm, my typical cruise power setting. After that, a configuration chart for the various IFR configurations/maneuvers with power setting, airspeed, climb rate...

Another IT guy lost to Aviation

Well, I’m retired, and could probably find time in my comsulting work to fly some part time contract flying. What’s the minimum time to fly right seat? Ive got 1500 hrs, IFR rated, and I did stay at a Holiday Inn last week.

    Newly minted IFR pilot

TCABM… agree with your comments. If I were to get back into IFR flying I would want to make sure I have a backup to my GNC430W for navigation and communication. When I was training for my IR, I felt like I always did a better job with a failed AI, making use of the turn coordinator, and...
