I just went through this on my non-impulses right Mag. Decided to just replace it with a SureFly electronic mag. Will take the bad right Mag and see if it is possible to convert to an impulse mag. If possible, I’ll overhaul it and convert it, and have a spare on the shelf.

Thanks for the reply. One thing is, if you are using Phillips Victory, I do not believe you need to add CamGuard. It already has the Lycoming anti wear, scuff additive in it. The non-Victory does not have it. I used to use that with CamGuard before switching over. Victory AW 20W-50 is...

What engine was that from? Did you have any other indications? If it was the cam lobes, was the engine making static RPM?

Well, I’m definitely out. AIRMET is showing IFR till 1300. Actually seems to have gotten worse and moved further south into Ohio. Catch you all another time. Can’t even get out to get down to Sporty’s today.

Not so beautiful here in central Ohio. We have a Stratus deck with IFR ceilings. Not going to scatter out till after 1200L EST. Looks like I’m in all likelihood out. If things change I’ll message here. It would just be me. Time for me to get IFR current! :incazzato:
