In my bonanza I am WOT and full forward on the prop until cruise alt. I'll pull the prop back to 2500 if in a noise sensitive area. I do love though that those who choose to Iive next to an airport get upset by airplane noise.

Yep I agree with that fully. Not saying you shouldn't be able to test flight, because you should! But I think his thinking is likely you're tire kicker and he doesn't want to give free rides unless you're serious hence contract and deposit. Not saying he is right but might have to play his game...

I'm an open water diver, been down to 120ft deep, dove reefs at night, and I've dove into some tight cenotes,..BUT I'm right there with ya @SixPapaCharlie , I don't like large man made underwater structures either!!!

I just went through this, basically I was going to send my slick mags off for 500 hour inspection. It would have been their 3rd time and the shop said the impulse will likely be worn and not economical to repair. Brand new slick mag is $1600 and $700 for a rebuild. So I bought a $1700 surefly...
