I just checked here to verify my Stratux still talks to both my ipads running ForeFlight...they both see traffic as they have done in the past. So I would call support at Stratus.

I never saw a notam, but did see ads-b once of a balloon at 60k feet moving about 100kts.

If your ipad is wifi only, it will show your position on the ground when you log onto a wifi network. There are several good options listed above. A bad elf waas gps module works well, and a Sentry or Stratus offer you ads-b in including wx, traffic and ahrs. Or...

My Bonanza F35 has an electric prop. You can select manual or constant speed mode. Early Beech Roby props were on some aircraft...maybe Cardboard Connies...early Bellancas. They had a hand crank on the panel for changing pitch.

Ok..maybe I can help. The Stratus sends gps data to Foreflight that is used for the DG. Were you moving or sitting still when testing. If sitting still, the DG is X'd out. Next: check your GPS accuracy to confirm the waas gps data is being received in Foreflight...go into Settings/Devices/ to...

For the $400 difference in price, I would go with certified AV-30 and remove the vacuum AI and Venturi...but that was not what you asked. The link I posted above does not pertain to just a nav com install.
