    Action Cameras' Go-Pro or Garmin?

It really depends on what your standards for image quality are. GoPro right now is pretty much the best image quality in a camera that size, although I still feel it leaves a lot to be desired, but I have had success pulling just about enough dynamic range out of it with the right settings. For...

Attempted Atlanta to Los Angeles, but the Yankee only made it to Phoenix

I feel your pain. I had to leave my plane at un unattended airport with no mechanic in central CA on the way to L.A. from Seattle 2 years ago. It was an expensive Uber to Sacramento to catch a Southwest flight home and then back again a week later after I found a mechanic to work on the plane...

PMA450B Audio Panel In depth video review

The PMA450B is a slide in replacement for the PMA450A. I got the R2D2 STC from a guy I know on Tatooine...some Jawas helped with the modification work and some guy named Ben Kenobi signed it all off. :)

PMA450B Audio Panel In depth video review

I think you will really enjoy it. Yeah I don't know about voice commands...I mean its just faster to push a button and way less prone to error. Voice commands barely work on my phone...but in all fairness I havent tested that 350C. I have read the user manual for the Garmin audio panel and I...

Moving to Lancaster, CA, can anyone give me a PIREP on the area?

As you can infer from other's comments, Lancaster has a bit of a reputation... You are at least within easy flying distance to nicer places all through the SoCal area, including Santa Barbara, SLO, San Diego, Santa Monica, etc. Tehachapi has cheap gas right now and there seems to be a good...

    Arizona Trip Planning Suggestions

I highly recommend Sedona, AZ if you like hiking. Definitely pay attention to DA for anywhere you go in AZ. I made a video about our trip there last Thanksgiving and the description has timestamps with the names of the places we went so you can jump to see what the different trails and areas...

Struggling to keep current and proficient?

So I'm struggling a bit to keep current and proficient during these times of no safety pilot and few cloudy days in SoCal. I try to get into the clouds as often as possible but there are so many clear weather days here... I thought I would share a recent flight where I made many mistakes in IMC...

Anyone use Artic Air portable air conditioning

I considered buying a freezer to keep in the hangar where I could keep the cool gel packs...heck I guess I could keep the whole cooler with gel packs in there so all I would need to do is add water and throw it in the back and plug it in...it would certainly make it a little more convenient. On...

Anyone use Artic Air portable air conditioning

I have the Icebox one made/marketed for flying. It works ok but is kind of a hassle with loading the ice, water, draining it etc. I dont think I used it last summer just decided I would rather sweat it out than deal with it.. LOL

It's almost always with the IFD as the source. I find that if ATC assigns a heading I can just dial the track in on the TT head unit and it is close enough for them. If not I can adjust a couple degrees. Its nice to have the HDX able to control it and wish it could do GPSS with the HDX as source...

    I bought a Cherokee 6 for under $30K

Hey all I'm back here after a day or two away shooting a little more for a future video and catching up on responses on other internet outlets. I'm stoked at the response on this video and I have been able to connect with so many people through email, DM, by phone and even in person at my hangar...

    I bought a Cherokee 6 for under $30K

Thanks for all the positivity and encouragement. I can understand wanting to know the total amount of money put in and I'll probably do a follow up video that gets in to the nitty gritty if I can stomach looking back through spreadsheets and expenses, etc... When I started putting videos on...
