I am considering doing the same. I have no desire to do any work on aircraft I don't personally own. Seems there should be a path for those who don't wish to have the "commercial rating" A&P.

I concur. Purely guessing as I'm not a plate designer they were concerned about the 7500 point southwest of the course. If I were based there I would likely request vectors, UVCEH, straight in.

If it's beside a power lines I have had success calling the power company and asking them to take it down. When it's not beside power lines I am fortunate to own my own bucket truck. Even with my own truck it can be risky though.

There's a guy selling a nose gear leg stiffener. I put one on our 9a before they offered the new version. Always felt a little uneasy about the nose gear leg. It was a good aircraft though. Easy to fly until you got into strong gusty winds on landing.

And the corollary, when doing multiple patterns don't expect full stop aircraft with jet like approach speeds to join the pattern instead of coordinating a straight-in approach with said pattern aircraft.

Not an ER doc but we see a fair number of orthopedic trauma cases from e-thingies come through the OR. Just speculative on my part, the e-thingies tend to be run at slower speed than the donorcycles and the severity of injury will accordingly be less.

Tons of GRT users over on VAF. Not so many here. I've got the little brother GRT HX, but never download anything other than firmware. The HX isn't very user friendly with flight plan in my opinion. I would guess download to USB, insert USB onto back of HXR, enter menu for maintenance...
