If the tail actually did generate lift upwards, wouldn’t the plane just continuously flip tail over nose about the lateral axis since both are behind the CG? Take that picture you had and change the lift arrow of the tail to point down. Then it would be correct. The downward “lift” of the tail...

I think soloing is both confidence and demonstrated ability. I’ve had students in the past who technically handled the plane great. However, they couldn’t make a decision to save their life. They didn’t solo until I saw a fair amount of PIC mentality. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Interesting that the Foreflight support page says that iOS 15 and up is supported for the current version of Foreflight. That apparently is a lie.

The Foreflight article link from post #1 is a lie. My ipad has Foreflight 15.10.1. It's running ios 15.2. I cannot download DB updates.

Just today Foreflight is throwing me this when I try to download an update. I have only used 53gb of a 256gb iPad. Plenty of room. Running iOS 15.2. Old, I know. But why now? Foreflight ‘support’ of course says to update iOS. Claims the old iOS Miss Reeds the amount of data storage...

The AFD (chart supplement) lists ATC phone numbers for non-towered airports. It’s what we now use to get IFR clearances. I’m assuming they would serve this purpose as well? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
