It is not the engines thats the problem, it is the custom stuff like gearbox and other add ons.

The guy who owns the company is the company. If he retires or simply decides to wrap it up ( as he has done in the past ) what are you gonna do in terms of maintenance ? Rotax has been around for 100 years and selling this particular line of engines since 1980s - nothing is ever certain but but...
