See https://drs.faa.gov/browse/excelExternalWindow/DRSDOCID159830425420221019132116.0001 The SAIB clarifies that the inspection is (currently) one-time.

Yes, but the two entries have vastly different TIS and factored hours. Is the top (later) entry implying 1200 factored hours *since* the ECI in 2021? That would be 600h/yr which is possible. The interim AD is one-time, though, so this doesn't really make sense either.

Is anyone able to figure out how these two paragraphs make sense? Which one is right?

DPEs: how firm is the >50NM rule? Would distances of 49.5NM be rounded up?

I don’t think that’s absurd at all. An applicant should understand the requirements. That includes the requirements for logging XC time.

iPad choices, small single engine GA

iPad mini 5 on the yoke for me. Having to look all the way down to a kneeboard to see the approach plate is not my idea of a good time.

Is Dan Gryder the biggest asset to aviation on youtube?

Any sense of what his evidence was for it? Many indicators of email open used in the past are no longer valid.

No clouds - for the love of G_d - - - GO FLYING

Not sure about that map… it was IFR this morning at KMSN.

Is Dan Gryder the biggest asset to aviation on youtube?

Shame. I would have liked to see what sophistry the “expert” witness was going to produce surrounding this email read tracking.

FYI I'm pretty sure no Arrow has utility category certification.

    Oil burn...What are your numbers?

Dunno. Between shops overfilling, low consumption, and low hours, I’ve hardly had to add between changes recently.

Is Dan Gryder the biggest asset to aviation on youtube?

You can't, barring information from the email provider (e.g., Google could record and provide info on reading an email in browser). I ran an email marking technology company for the better part of a decade, and have done a fair bit of work in software forensics. While there are definitely ways...

    What not efi like cars

I didn't say it wasn't. My point is that this is still not consensus on what detonation is. GAMI's tests show that the FAA (consensus?) threshold does not characterize detonation in a useful way.

    What not efi like cars

@pfarber you're wasting your time trying to argue to data and facts on PoA, unfortunately. This would never stand on Beechtalk, where George would swoop in with actual data. Case in point: GAMI's testing of G100UL exposed that the "consensus" understanding of detonation in aircraft engines is...

For Sale Arrow III Avionics (Pulled for Upgrade)

Finally got my Arrow back from the show with shiny new 275s and and GTN650. Here's all the stuff I pulled. Everything is best-offer, "no reasonable offer refused", "as-removed", blah blah blah... (but if it arrives a brick let me know and we can work it out) All prices include shipping to the...

    GTN 650 Installation

This is the way. Who needs two NAVs in 2023, really? Personally I'd prefer the radio in a GNC355 instead of in the audio panel (mostly because I have a PMA450 and love having the screen dedicated to audio).

    Cessna 182 Avionics upgrade

OP was asking if they should remove the 355. That would leave them with only the 750. I agree that GPS/NAV+GPS seems perfectly sufficient. FWIW I went with a GNC255+GTN650. I may regret not getting the 355 instead, but at least this way when the Garmin intern bricks my 650 I'll (in theory) have...

    Oh Piper

Is there a comparable set of bolts on PA28R that is often overlooked?
