    Egregious FBO charges

I support any attempt to make it difficult for FBO's to collect in this manner. Even if you end up paying them, make them work for it. Dispute that payment with your cc issuer.

    Word to the Wise

They should be giving a discount for people that do recurring training. Dumb-asses.

California is a governor's signature away from banning 100LL in 2031

They must complain. Ok, follow me here, I'm applying Cap'n Jack logic to this. If they didn't complain, then there wouldn't be improvement, and the government can't accept criticism that there was no improvement, therefore, those that don't complain must be killed so that the government can't be...

This week's lesson will be on the ground - a lesson in ADM

That would happen to me no more than once per student.

In aircraft oxygen solutions for short flights and up to max. altitude of 10,000 feet?

They were selling them from a booth at sun-n-fun. You can get them used on craigslist. You can get them on the internet. Google it.

Triple 4, double charlie - does it annoy you?

I had to chuckle at Fox Xray who complained about pilots not using standard phraseology and then said "Say no joy". That might be commonly understood, but I believe the standard phraseology would be "negative contact", would it not?

    Rudder usage while retracting gear

They probably all do center the wheel, which is why it's "good enough for this conversation", but not all do it with a cam.

    Rudder usage while retracting gear

True for the vast majority, and I think good enough for this conversation, but not true of every aircraft.

You don't know what you don't know.

I’m thinking that twins will keep our singles running longer. Every twin that stops flying is two more engine cores for the used single market. Unless you already have 200 hours of multi, buying a twin is utterly impractical. The cost of getting 200 hours of multi is almost as much as the...

    Dead technology

If you have a 265 hp engine, but limit power at sea level to 200 hp and then at altitude allow full throttle so that you are getting 75% HP, isn’t it really a 200 HP engine? Seriously though, it’s the same problem as turbo. Easy for an operator to over boost. Often no apparent, immediate...

Triple 4, double charlie - does it annoy you?

I have a buddy that would probably bug you. He flies “niner triple niner sierra” but maybe not since his is actually shorter. But how many nines is that?

    Let's Discuss Manned EVTOL's

Your premise is that China has a superior safety record, and what’s more, that it’s due to the government killing anyone that has an accident? But not that accidents are covered up by the government. Nah, they’d never falsify a safety record to make them look better. Pretty funny stuff.

    Let's Discuss Manned EVTOL's

A tiny tourism operation (in china, very different risk acceptance) doing very short sight flights, not yet in full swing is not impressive. It’s kind of a sign of how wrong you are frankly.
