Delta knocks tail off other plane on ground

I'm going to guess B-47. And if my quick google is right, I think I'd let any aircraft where the minimum and maximum bomb load are both measured in megatons pretty much own the airport if they wanted. A problem there would have the potential to be very, very loud.

the "not worthy of it's own thread" thread

The clutch in my washing machine exploded. Or what looks very much like a clutch. And I didn't even realize a washing machine HAD a clutch.

Delta knocks tail off other plane on ground

I keep wanting to post that had they put some masking tape on the other side of the tail, it might have made the cut cleaner so easier to repair. But that seems in poor taste so I haven't said it.

Nah...I don't claim to have owned or influenced any of it. But today is just as much my comfort zone as 30 years ago. Actually more so.

    Bulging Lithium Battery: Stratux ADSB

I believe you 100%, but the only time I've had batteries puff is after charging. So I'm wondering if the puffing happening after heat on a full charge is a symptom of an over-charge or worn battery that's been charged. I say this because I haven't seen batteries puff after either normal use or...

Jump starting a 'plane with a battery pack

As others have mentioned, I think most of them need the battery to be connected and to be a little bit hot, and they kinda want to be connected close to the battery. But if you can do that, I think they'd work fine. As far as fire risk goes, my experience with lithiums flying RC is that they...

Delta knocks tail off other plane on ground

I think we're missing the most important thing. If they can get a ferry permit for it and it works, this has the potential to be the best advertisement for "JB Weld" ever.

the "not worthy of it's own thread" thread

Maybe it's just me...but I stopped watching the NFL a long time ago, when it seemed like the needle was moving from something like college football to something like professional wrestling with corporate sponsors. Then again, I ramble too much and want to yell at people for being on my lawn.

I think it's code for "I know I have a 'insert type here' wrench/tool around here somewhere, and I kinda need it now".

    Lets make Friday 'Joke Day'!

:) You're young or lucky enough to have never worked in a large building filled with un-managed switches. Or hubs!! Looking at a bundle of cable as big around as your arm going into a jagged hole in the drywall, and from there you can see maybe some goes up, some goes down, but nobody knows...

    Another “What is it?” Thread

In terms of building stuff that looks cool, I'd have to give the nod to Burt Rutan or Kelly Johnson. The flying nun plane just looks weird...

    Thinking about a Bus/RV

You absolutely have an impressive and complex set of systems. Re the bluetooth, if you haven't already I'd see if you can contact the manufacturer and see how they recommend pairing multiple sets of batteries. I could see them interfering with each other if the pairing isn't done some specific...

    Thinking about a Bus/RV

I share your frustration with bluetooth in a commercial power management system. I know it's low power and unlicensed and simple, but still kind of a hack to me. Hope you get that sorted out, because as you know and mentioned, having a good battery management system is more important for...

Venezuela (Maduro) may have to rent planes for now

I'm not much on international politics, but taking his plane, but not him, sounds like a warning shot to me.

do you swipe to type? (NA numbnutz)

I just type and swear at the autocorrect as it screws things up. I do miss the blackberry keyboard...I didn't get rid of my work one until I had to, because they didn't support past 3g. And answering the phone? I have the ringer turned off on everything but my work phone. Everybody else...

High CO in Cessna 150M Cabin

Glad you found it! CO kills a couple of people a year around here. Not so much airplanes, but generators mostly.
