Way in over my head, don’t be me!

A brand new cirrus with 80 hours is selling for $200k over a freshly delivered one. No way you can be upside down in one If you want to sell it at a discount, let me know. I'll take it off your hands.

Possibly reported for VFR on Top

On my checkride the examiner asked me how far we were from a cloud I looked out and thought a second. Then replied "I'd say we were at least a half a mile" he responded "so do I"

    Getting a passenger to DFW

I ubered from DFW to my house on Eagle Mountain Lake last week and it was $100 (was still cheaper than parking, got dropped off by my wife and ubered home). And it's a lot closer than TKI.

How much do you spend monthly/annually on flying

Plane is paid for This year so far right at $20k for 200 hours if I close on the new plane, I expect that to triple or quadruple.

Thinking about a camper van ...

Lots of good opinions here. After owning a couple of Class A pushers (and a bus), I think our next one will be a Class C built on a Mercedes chasis with no TOAD. Can get most anywhere in it, and all we do is sleep in it anyways. Don't need the 43' with a Jeep behind it anymore.

    Hershey bar wings and landing

I have about 500 hours in my Cherokee hershey bar wings. As said above, carry just a little bit of power....doesn't take much, otherwise it drops too fast. Pull the power at the same time as the flare and let it settle. If you flared too high, add that same amount (1-200rpm) back in the stop...

Talk me out of a Columbia 400

Found a plane yesterday, local to me and a good price. Going in for Pre Buy next week. Biggest downfall of this plane, no AC. But after reading all the problems on the forum specifically for these planes, and the spendy maintenance of the AC with it still not working well, I'll make due over...

    VFR Altitude

First off, reread my initial post. I was asking for advice as to what people here thought. Secondly, you question if I went 7 hours in a Cherokee? It's a 180, I true out about 118 knots, not 103. It was actually a 6 hour flight up and 6.5 coming back on Monday. Third, I fly it around 250...

    VFR Altitude

Cutting what too close? I stop with 15-20 gallons left in my tanks. I want to get there faster and a difference of 5-6 knots makes a difference.
