    T-Hangar neighbor. WWYD?

So I’m a T hangar. Been great the last two years as my two neighbors never flew much. But the owner just leased one to a flight school. The CFI’s have decided that it’s ok for them to leave the doors open while they go fly Then when I want to fly I have to shut their door to get my plane out...

Any regrets moving up to better plane

A crooked AP got me for $20k for an annual that he was supposed to fix some other things. Ended up paying for that with another AP and a cylinder (valve) that failed at a class C away from home and fixed by a Jet Center. Also a prop governor, a flat tire away from home and an oil cooler.

    Wealth Distribution in America

We took on a partner 15 years ago when we started one of our businesses. He wanted to take all the profits out of the business every year. Told us that is how it’s done Needless to say he didn’t last long.

    Wealth Distribution in America

We could sell the business, but the process of doing that would be too painful as there are so many interconnected parts with the other businesses. Our average tenure of employees in that business is 20 years. I have one guy that’s been with me 37 years. It’s the reason we haven’t shuttered it...

    Wealth Distribution in America

I didn’t say no employees. That’s a job. Not a business But to allow each employee to be the most efficient that they can be. And to do that, you have to first have good employees, pay them well, but also stress them to the limit before you hire more Technology helps also. What used to take...

    Wealth Distribution in America

The object of running a business is not necessarily just adding employees. It is finding the efficiencies of the business. More employees doesn’t necessarily mean larger or more profitable. That is 20th century management.

Any regrets moving up to better plane

Cherokee 180 to Columbia 400 A few months after I bought the Col400, my mission changed and I quit flying to Mexico weekly I wish I had kept the Cherokee as a “second” plane for the fun stuff like flying to dinner which I would weekly. The Columbia is a little much for that. But, I couldn’t...

First Plane Minimum 200hp (Business Use) Keeping 3-5 Years - Suggestions?

I do this. Not every week, but 200 plus hours of flying a year I did it in a 180hp Cherokee for three years then upgraded to a Columbia 400 If you are going from Kansas to Houston, you need a faster (more expensive) plane

    Starship successfully launches.....

As I stated earlier, I finished the Musk biography this weekend. If you really want to know the philosophy behind SpaceX, go read it It is the antithesis of NASA and their bloated cost plus contracts. The idiot principle of making things as cheaply and simple as possible. Then you find out what...
