Taxiway closed by notam due to snow/ice

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1993_Storm_of_the_Century I was working as the storm passed through. It was the only time in my career that FL190 was unusable in my sector due to low altimeter settings.

    Practice approach at Class C

If it's not too far off your path, you can also do practice ILS approaches at KHKY. ZTL used to have a Letter to Airmen advertising the service (not sure if they still do).

Martha Lunken - Bridges - Log Book Hours?

After enough spankings I learned that I needed to spend more time on the front end reducing the possibility of being caught. :)

    Off-Topic: POC radios?

I downloaded an app (I'm sorry but I can't remember which one) about 4 years ago when my wife and I were moving. I drove the moving van and she ran interference in the car. I enabled us to talk instantly (sort of like the old Nextel PTT) instead of having to place the call and wait for an...

Show multiple plane flight tracks at same time?

As was mentioned before, there is a separation standard between IFR/VFR aircraft in Class B & Class C airspace, otherwise there is none. I think most controllers working a descending airliner would stop the descent at 9,000' if they saw VFR traffic at 8,500' that might come in close proximity...

Any piston engines that fly above FL250?

    I saw a Mooney once at FL305.

FAA Shuts Down Western US Airspace?!?!?

FAA Shuts Down Western US Airspace?!?!?

Sorta the opposite of getting the President OFF the ground to ensure his security during a national emergency.

How come there's still no NTSB report for N79396?

The NTSB and the FAA are notified of all aircraft accidents. As was stated before, the NTSB will delegate the investigation to the FSDO unless it is a high profile event. The FAA investigates and turns over the information to the NTSB. The NTSB determines probable cause on all aircraft...

    Talk about out of control...?!

The body cam video is here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rvwbm7jknih6na5/AXON_Body_2_Video_2020-01-04_2300.mp4?dl=0 The sound is fine until the officer reaches up with his hand (which covers part of the camera field of view) and then the audio stops.

    Talk about out of control...?!

I have not jumped to conclusions on all allegations, but have concluded that he did blow a 0.000 and had a clean blood test, and was arrested. These 3 allegations are easy to confirm/refute, it would be ridiculous/malpractice to include them in the complaint if not true.

    Talk about out of control...?!

I think I would trust the pilot who just blew 0.000 and came up clean on the blood test after being arrested for impaired driving (especially after the police officer repeatedly turned off his bodycam audio by accident).

    Talk about out of control...?!

I support law enforcement and I think most are smart enough to know that this is not an example of LE as a whole. I just don't see any new and innovative ways to identify the bad apples. It just seems to be status quo until another bad cop gets caught, and then more of the same, "That's not...

Flight following - not sure why I didn't use it before

I always wanted to be talking to the VFR traffic transiting an active MOA. I always thought it was better to he able to share information among the participating/non-participating aircraft.

How to determine status of Anacapa/Santa Cruz Warning Areas

I didn't want a bot to slurp up a phone number off of a post and start calling a control room offering an extended car warranty.
