    I bid none: none dollars

No! For that matter, I’m a little leary of one that’s been in a hangar for years. How bad are the termites in the area where it has been stored?

    I bid none: none dollars

Vintage? In the GA world, most anything built since World War II is a modern aircraft. Well if nothing else, you can break it up for kindling this Winter, as long as the termites didn’t beat you to it.

    Robinson 12 year calendar timeout?

I think that the long and short of it is that if you want to get your moneys worth, you will have to be using it in a flight school, pipeline patrol or other high hour operation, so that you don’t leave any hours unflown at the end of the twelve years. It’s generally as simple as that. I went...

    Air-to-Air P-40 Warhawk

….. and those two lenses and the camera are probably worn out from the use during the last week. It’s a good thing for digital photo storage and huge capacity memory cards. Jack rarely had a moment when he didn’t have the camera to his eye. If the pictures that included me didn’t break the...

    Air-to-Air P-40 Warhawk

The B25, God & Country is one of the center pieces of the Mid America Flight Museum. It was built near the end of WWII and was used as an instrument trainer, never seeing combat. When it made it into the civilian world, it was purchased by Tallman who built a nose to replace the bombardier...

    Air-to-Air P-40 Warhawk

Yes, second seat, but due to the added length, the tail looks odd because the leading edges of the horizontal and vertical stabilizers are offset. The guy who sold the plane to museum told me when I asked about was it that made it look different. It is a VERY nice P40 example.

    Air-to-Air Bell AH-1 Cobra

That is a stuffed toy that has been there since shortly after the aircraft made its way to the museum. I’ve been surprised that no one has ever suggested that it be removed. As usual, Jack hit another one over the centerfield fence that hasn’t landed yet. The second ground photo shows in the...

    Planes and hurricanes

I understand that perfectly! By the square foot, most any hangar is a bargain as storage space goes. There seem to be no shortage of Airport managers or city councils that won’t enforce their airworthy aircraft only rules. My current manager is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet, but he will...

    Planes and hurricanes

Hurricanes aside, I HATE seeing any aircraft tied down out in the weather. My sympathy goes out to those who can’t get a hangar. It took me a long time to get one, but I didn’t buy a plane until I had a hangar lined up. Many people tie down in the weather, but there are so many bad things...

Why didn't they fly the plane back to the runway?

Social Flight: The NEW FAA Ruling That Could DEVASTATE GA

Hmmm…. If it is something that will devastate all of GA, it would seem to go beyond only the little Pipers.

Flying GA to FAA training facility in OKC

My experience is that you can Uber from anywhere to anywhere, even in Europe. If it is in a restricted area, that may present a problem, but I bet they can get you really close.

    Air-to-Air Cessna 140A

I don’t have a NEED for it either, but when I got my first Mooney, I just couldn’t bear to part with her. I fly the Mooney for traveling and enjoy buzzing my daughters place and shooting approaches, but it doesn’t take the place of “The Piggy.” When I want to fly low and slow around the lake...

    Air-to-Air Cessna 140A

Another one for Jack that went over the center field fence and hasn’t landed yet. Of course, I’m partial to 140’s so that helps.

What size expenses await the person that buys this? (Curious, not trolling)

????? It’s not a jet???? I don’t see any propellers. There’s nothing wrong with an older, well kept Citation.
