Guess this was too fun for the pilots on the internet. Almost all videos got deleted.

We have two pre-covid kayaks and two inflatable SUPs. We got the SUPs for airplane travel but end up using them often since they're pretty convenient and nearly as fun, for lazy paddling and drinking.

Haven't flown in a while (rotten avionics shop, annual, work, weather), but here's a throwback, sneaking out of Utah from a work trip.

I'm not a fan of short flights in general. I frequently have to go from KIWA to KCHD for maintenance. I feel like spending such little time in the air, 100% of it on departure and arrival at the same time, is dangerous. I've found myself focused on radios and not looking at the students flying...

Oof. Any background information on that? I've seen his videos and have always had a good time watching them. All I really know about him.

Same exact thing. I've got a g500, and gtn650 (and 355), and this seemed like a great way to get familiar with it. Other than that, the iPad trainers have been fantastic. Following along with online videos was enough to get me familiar enough to fly before the sim.

I flew straight in twice this week to the same airport. Listen as far out as you can, I make a call at 15mi out if I intend to do a straight in, and then the usual 10, 4, etc, declaring straight in. If I hear anyone in the pattern, I switch to entering the pattern with them. Nobody there...

I went ahead and flew it, no issues what so ever. I went ahead and radio'd in to Grand Canyon Airport and they cleared me in to specific corridors, which was a nice security blanket. Just kept on the freq's and radio'd VP's. No $10,000 fine yet.
