I believe for certificated install the internal GPS is disabled in configuration and to keep in enabled, you need that external antenna Jesse mentioned. I didnt think Garmin ever claimed that the magnetometer will be powered by the backup battery

last Wednesday i was running at 50% power at 075 at peak with the oil temps at 170 range. OAT was 56 degrees i believe

In some countries, its illegal to call or text after working hours. but again the beauty of text is, i dont care about it until i want to read it (not a CFI)
