Want To Buy Piper wheel fairing bracket

Have you tried Faeth? I bought a Cherokee fairing from them once. They are just up the street from me (maybe 15 miles or so). http://www.faethaircraft.com/

How long after you received your PPL did you take passengers?

I took my son for lunch the next day. I had plenty of solo before I got my ticket (I owned my own plane).

Should I buy a Moeller Sky Car or a Samson Switchblade?

Ok, truthfully, I don’t think Terrafugia will actually start production next year. I should have included a wink emoji ;)

    Another “Hangar Queen” Question

You could see if he would be willing to pull a couple of cylinders, but my guess is he won't. Without that, you have to assume the engine needs to be overhauled, from a buyers perspective.

    Misplaced my phone.

Great idea, but not that type of trail, unfortunately. I was forced to walk it back. Plus, there were rangers out and about that day and they probably would have frowned on it.

    Misplaced my phone.

My running pants opened up a hole in the pocket on a 7 mile trail run. Electronic Lexus key. I retraced my steps after the run (all 7 miles) and never found it. I ended up calling my son to bring my extra key (up in the sticks). Those keys aren't cheap to replace. I now wear a running belt.

Antique Transponder went Belly Up, ADS-B?

Right, so after 2020, you would be willing to pay the same price for a plane that had ADS-B vs one that didn't? Personally, if the plane didn't have it, I would have to budget for an immediate install (which of course, won't be possible with the backlog), as I have two class C airports within 10...

Antique Transponder went Belly Up, ADS-B?

He has a point, in that it will affect the value of a plane, if it doesn’t have it. Maybe not a cub, but most planes.

'Report 4 mile base for runway two five left' - meaning?

It means you are approaching on the base leg (there is cross wind, downwind, base and final) and when you are four miles out, you should contact the tower.

Antique Transponder went Belly Up, ADS-B?

That works if you don't want/need ADS-B in the future, otherwise it is just kicking the can down the road and good luck getting a shop to fit you in a year from now. Even now, it is pretty tough in my area.

Which Winch for my Trailer and how to mount?

Put it on a hitch receiver mount, so you can move it between your trailer and truck. You will get more use that way: https://www.harborfreight.com/hitch-receiver-mount-for-winches-69106.html

    Quality of life question

Pay is only part of job satisfaction. You spend quite a bit of your life on your job, so it is important to be happy and enjoy the people you work with, even at the cost of some pay. Talk to some of your potential coworkers and see if you can judge how happy they are at their jobs. A 30 minute...

    Home automation and voice control

I live in the burbs. I don't lose Internet too often and when I do, it is usually just for a few minutes. I work from home a lot, so losing Internet causes a much bigger issue for me than loss of home automation. Back when I had AT&T, though... but, then again, that is why I don't have them...

    Home automation and voice control

I have a gen 1 Wink Hub and has been compatible with everything I have wanted so far. I mis-stated above on the front door lock. I have the Schlage front door lock, not the Kwikset. The Wink will manage all the door codes, lock and unlock the front door, manage the Chamberlain garage door...

    Home automation and voice control

I just re-read his post and it looks like it is his phone. I wouldn't be interested in that. There are some devices that can be installed in the car and used for that (Bluetooth). It seems kind of clugey though.

What are you using for geo-fencing? Your phone or do you have something installed in the car?

This happened to my neighbor this morning....

We have two cars in the garage and one in the driveway. Everyone's situation is different.
