Yes, and assuming the fuel tank pickup is on the inboard end of a wing tank, if you are using the left tank and the fuel level is low, you want to slip right wing low.
I had a few issues with my already done been built (not an RV) but nothing I couldn't fix. I would suggest getting your head underneath the panel and looking at the wiring - nice and neat? More likely a careful builder. Looks like ****? More likely the guy was more focused on getting it done...
OK, late to the party, but a big(ish) tablet in a (very) small airplane. Tried knee board stuff, overhead, a couple of places, and it finally landed between my knees.
I have to lean a bit to the side to see around the stick, but snot a big deal.
6 Ohms between the 12 volt supply and the airframe ground is just the impedance of all the gauges and stuff connected between the two points. You want to find issues (resistance) between the ground at the gauge and the ground at the sending unit. The problem is you are looking for fairly small...
Fun fact: If you have an older vehicle with a generator (not alternator) and no radios, it doesn't matter if you connect the battery positive or negative to ground.
