    Yet another ADHD post.

OK stop. That’s what you need to do is stop. #1 work thru the current medical issues with your son. Don’t worry about flying for now. His overall health is more important. There are many jobs in aviation that don’t require a Class 1 medical. #2 Find a senior AME for a CONSULTATION about all the...

First day of flight training in a week and I still need a headset—what are your suggestions?

Many companies have 30 day return options. Try 2 or 3, see which you like best. A headset is the best investment you can make. New one means warrantee.

These folks need to be stopped.

Wikipedia: The word cockpit seems to have been used as a nautical term in the 17th century, without reference to cock fighting. It referred to an area in the rear of a ship where the cockswain's station was located, the cockswain being the pilot of a smaller "boat" that could be dispatched from...

    Controlled Airspace Apprehensions, VFR

I print the diagram any time I'm going to a new airport, draw the entries for each of the runways, highlight the freqs. I've even been know to crank up XPlane or MSFS or Google and "fly" the area to see the geography for familiarization.

    Monday only - worth it?

My favorite stories....a number of years ago SAS flew a 747 in (8000 ft runway, why not?). Cargo was unloaded and included 3 large boxes. Inside were the 3 main sections of an experimental (forgot what it was). Owner/pilot put it together, parked and camped, when the show was over, he flew...

    Monday only - worth it?

Another example....went to dinner with friends at Fox River (you know -that place where you make a reservation and still wait 2 hours) and the table next to us....John & Martha King. Turned into a great dinner for a larger group (altho they did not pick up the tab) (and why even with a...

    Finally restarted my flying lessons.

That’s the problem with the schools at Centennial….few of them know what’s going on at the other airports along the Front Range. They’re working to get their 1500 hours and leaving.

    Monday only - worth it?

"unlike others on here, I don't have any friends to meet up with" Wrong. You have many, many friends you just haven't met yet. It's everybody here to meet up with. Pick a day, pick a time, pick a place (example - Monday, noon, north door of Hangar B) and have lunch together.

    Advice for loooooong cross-country

Don't forget some safety wire. To be honest, the only tools I've ever needed traveling in the Cherokee are a phillips & a flat head screwdrivers, 7/16 and 9/16 box wrench and the safety wire tool. 9/16 to take off the wheel pants (not needed on the Arrow) and the 7/6 is pretty much everything...

It's not that you didn't ask it to do. It's that Microsoft knows better than you do, and demands you work the way Microsoft wants to you, unless you know the magic to avoid it. OD is the default at my university, and I have to keep reminding the students that OD is the default when they save a...
